The sub-task groups 4 and 5 of TG3/CASWSES-II made a plan of the world-wide joint observation for tracking X-ray jets from the solar surface to interplanetary space.
The X-Ray Telescope (XRT) aboard the Hinode satellite has shown shown that polar coronal hole regions are very active with many X-ray jets and transient brightenings. Because the high-speed solar wind emanates from these regions, the relation between the solar wind and the coronal activity in the polar region is very important for understanding the high-speed solar wind. In order to understand this relationship, we propose a joint observation for tracking the materials ejected by X-ray jets from solar surface to interplanetary space.Hinode and SDO observe from solar surface to inner corona, LASCO-C2/SOHO observes outer corona with deep exposure and high-time resolution, and the IPS system of STE Lab., Nagoya University observes interplanetary space. SECCHI/STEREO observes coronal activity from the either east or west of the Sun, and using the observations from these instruments we can investigate the 3D configuration of the transient structures in the polar solar regions. Based on the data obtained by the instruments, we will explore the following subjects:
・How far does the influence of transient events in this region extend from the solar surface?
・The kinetic/potential energies of the materials ejected by coronal activity and the importance of their energy in the solar wind.
・The configuration of the magnetic field above the polar coronal hole based on the trajectory of the jets.

Status: (2 August 2011)
The proposal was accepted by Hinode team and became the HOP187 observation.
The 1st observation of HOP187 was performed on 16-17 June, 2011 and LASCO/SOHO, SDO, STEREO, IPS-STELab joined in the observation. The observation was succeeded and we are analyzing the dataset.
